The Microsoft Edge browser returns a DRM error when you try to watch protected content and are using certain monitors or cables, such as VGA. This is because the media extension within Edge views the connection as unsafe, meaning protected content could be decrypted. There are two ways to continue watching content on Channel 4 while using one of these connections:
- Change to another one of our supported HTML5 browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
- Or you can use a different connection, such as HDMI, to view content on another monitor.

All of the colour contrast combinations used on the Channel4.com website have been used with the intention to meet WCAG2 AA standard, ensuring that contrast is of a sufficient standard.
However, if you find that there are areas that you are having difficulty with when viewing Channel4.com, browsers such as Chrome and Firefox have extensions and add-ons available to switch to high contrast mode. This will invert the screen, to provide a darker background and more vivid text display for users who experience low to medium visual problems.

Channel 4 uses geo-blocking software to detect where your computer is located when it connects to the internet. Occasionally you may be accessing from the UK or ROI but the software mistakenly thinks your location is outside this area, and so blocks your access. This is most likely caused by the way your Internet Service Provider sets up and manages your account. We suggest you contact your Internet Service Provider and explain the problem, which they should be able to resolve.
