Ford is showing its Fiesta Zetec S, set to be a popular member of the new Fiesta line-up, at the British Motor Show.
The model will come with the new 120bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine, with variable-cam timing, or the 90bhp 1.6 TDCi diesel. The petrol version will deliver 47.9mpg and 139g/km, yet can still do 120mph and 0-60 in 9.9 seconds; the diesel returns 67.3mpg and just 110g/km of carbon dioxide.
Both Zetec S models have lowered, tuned suspension, five-spoke 16" alloys, projector headlamps, front fog lamps, a deeper front bumper, side mouldings and a rear spoiler, plus leather steering wheel, sports seats (set 30mm lower than in the previous Fiesta Zetec S), and unique trim and upholstery.
Sales will start in October.
