Pitching to us
Any indie can send their ideas directly to the commissioning team. Here are some tips for submitting your ideas.
- Write up your idea in an email; it may be useful to take a look at our guidance document beforehand as it provides tips and ideas for writing your submission.
- Select which department and commissioning editor you would like to submit your idea to by exploring the 4Producers pages of our website.
- Only submit to one commissioning editor at a time, and avoid sending multiple ideas
- Commissioning Editors will do their best to respond to your email with an indication of next steps within 10 working days for unscripted ideas (scripted ideas may take a bit longer)
- Please bear in mind that during the holiday season it may take slightly longer for a response to come through, and in case of illness or extenuating circumstances any of our Commissioning Editors may take extended leave with short notice in which case responses are not guaranteed within the timeframe.
- Email your idea to the commissioning editor with any accompanying materials, copying in the relevant Programme Co-Ordinator, ensuring that the word "PROPOSAL" is in the subject line (If you would like to send additional materials, please consider the inboxes of the recipients and send as a link or file-share document if over 150KB)
By submitting your proposal to us, you are agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and Channel 4's Privacy Policy.
If you have any queries about the process, or are not sure who to submit to, please contact 4producers@channel4.co.uk
