I've owned a 350Z for 18 months and had loads of problems - rear tailgate struts, rear suspension, electric window failure, etc etc. Great car to drive, but once the smile wears off it can get a little tiresome due to the noise levels. Worst problem is the dealers. They are very, very bad. Nissan really need to sort this out. I certainly won't be going back!
I just bought a 03 model and could not be any happier. I will agree the interior is pretty simple and nothing to brag about. However, just like any Ford Mustang owner, your not buying this car for the fancy interior your buying it for the performance under the hood, and believe me this thing performs like a charm. Aside from the simple interior, the economy can also be a drag if your foot becomes too heavy. But then again the car was made to go, so just let it go.
Utter rubbish. Recently had the misfortune of driving this (not so) cheap and nasty car, how on earth can Nissan justify almost £30k for this car? If Audi dared to put the same sort of cheap interior into their TT they would go bust overnight! If you remember the Datsun Cherry you'll feel right at home in the 350Z. I could not live with this car, not even if it was only £12k. A Ford Focus has a posher interior. And I won't even mention the gearbox...
It makes the Boxter S look and sound like an also-ran. I've had mine over 14 months and it still turns heads, as it's a looker, it sounds great and handles like a dream. i would only change this car for the 350Z GT4 Nismo and thats only because it has a few more horses, but mine still beats almost anything to 60. I've done 25,000 miles at an average speed of 43mph and am getting 27mpg, beat that if you can. It's safe, sounds like a supercar when opened up and is fantastic to look at. Awesome.
