Physics take over
Grey never looked so bland
As hot hatches go, the Toyota Corolla T-Sport has never been a class-leading, doe-eye-inducing legendary driving machine - just a quick Corolla.

And you'll be forgiven if you can't remember ever seeing a T-Sport on the road, as they seem to blend into the background along with the rest of the Corolla range.

Well, the T-Sport is no more, having been culled because of impending tighter European emissions legislation. In its place comes the Corolla Compressor, with only 250 of this limited edition model coming to the UK, at a cost of £19,995.

So what do you get for your 20K?

Bigger spoiler and bumper are unique to Compressor
On the outside, it's got deeper bumpers, side skirts and a rear spoiler - but they don't excite the eye as they seem to do on rivals like the Golf GTI or Focus ST. This isn't helped by the limited colour palette of silver, grey, black or red on offer. Yawn, yawn, yawn - where's the searing green or hot pink to make this hot Corolla stand out in the crowd?

The wheels too, 17" alloys, look lost under the gaping arches, the ballooning tyres not helping either. They'd also be an absolute pain to clean.
