Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games

Channel 4 is looking forward to once again bringing a global audience to the Paralympic Games and we are proud of what we have achieved since London 2012, shifting perceptions of disabled people and bringing world-class sporting drama to our viewers through our significant investment in coverage and award-winning marketing campaigns.

We are delighted to be covering the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games with a 100% disabled presenting team. ParalympicsGB will have a team of 25 athletes for the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games and we are delighted and proud to have scored an all-star disabled presenting team that will cover the Games live from Beijing. It is a global first for a broadcaster to have an entirely disabled presenting and punditry team for a world-class sporting event.

We will bring the best coverage possible to the British public, live from China, so we can all get behind ParalympicsGB and celebrate their success in Beijing.

Despite uncertainty caused by Covid-19 protocol issues, which continue to materially affect the production of TV, including live sport, we will provide round-the-clock coverage of the Games.

We will broadcast 86 hours of round-the-clock Paralympics coverage from China on free-to-air television, along with streaming on the Channel 4 YouTube channel.

All of our live content will be subtitled. This includes:

  • Opening & Closing Ceremonies
  • Live Sport shows (01:00 - 08:00)
  • Breakfast Show (08:00 - 09:00)
  • Highlights show (19:30 - 20:00)

We will be providing an accessible version of the Highlights show on More 4 each day between 03:00 – 03:30 am which will include both audio description and visual signing.

All the above content will be available on All 4 shortly after transmission and will carry the same access services.
