Trump: recommended reading

Two very different articles to recommend on Trump et al.

This US voting analysis is very up to date, alert to the Trump momentum, still thinking Clinton wins but answering a lot of questions I think a lot of people have as national and some state polls tighten.

This piece is a gruesome collection of Trump thoughts and predictions elegantly put together.

His campaign tells us a lot about what kind of Commander-in-Chief he would be.

One fellow British journalist on the New York UN trip with Theresa May said it ruined all chance of sleep on the flight home.

The talk in US psephological circles is all about the “enthusiasm gap” and “marginalised voters.”

Prediction sites are now sometimes factoring in a Brexit-style turnout factor that spurs on the populist side and the phenomenon of non-voters suddenly becoming voters.

I talk a bit about some of these UK movements in a pamphlet just published, Breaking Point (Haus publishing), part diary of the campaign and aftermath, part essay – a very quick read if you fancy it.
