Fears for jobs as Peugeot buys Vauxhall

For a shade under £2bn, French car makers Peugeot have snapped up General Motors’ loss-making European business, including Britain’s Vauxhall. And that spells uncertainty for the 4,500 workers at Vauxhall’s two UK plants in Luton and Ellesmere Port.
