Tens of thousands of people protested on the streets of Israel last night to demand a ceasefire after the bodies of six hostages were found in Gaza over the weekend. 

The Foreign Secretary David Lammy has suspended some arms sales to Israel. 

The UN Secretary-General has called on Israel to cease its military operation in the occupied West Bank. A Palestinian news agency said 17 people had been killed in two days of fighting with militants.

Since the Hamas-led massacre on October 7th and Israel’s subsequent assault on Gaza, Israel has detained thousands of Palestinians in the strip.

We spoke to Dr Mohammad Salha, acting director at Al-Awda hospital in northern Gaza which is running out of fuel, and I began by asking him about the situation there now.
