Windrush mother blames immigration problems for son’s death

The mother of a Windrush child has called on Theresa May to reflect on what she is doing to the country after her 58-year-old son was found dead last month.

The cause of his death is still to be determined.

Dexter had spent more than a year trying to prove his right to live in the UK – a country he hadn’t left since he arrived here as a child from Grenada in the 60s.

Because he didn’t have the right documentation, he had lost his job and was warned he could be deported.
