Wildfires put pressure on fire services across Europe

It’s been another day of soaring temperatures for much of the UK – although the Met Office is warning of thunderstorms and possible flash floods in Scotland and Northern Ireland as of tonight.

But there won’t be nearly enough rain to make up for the recent weeks of drought. Wildfires have put fire services around the country under severe pressure – and it’s a similar picture across much of Europe.
