Trump takes tough line on immigration and Iran in mid-term election campaign

Four days from now, Americans will vote in mid-term elections. Hoping to keep Republican control of the House and Senate, President Trump has used a campaign rally to ramp up his hard-line immigration plans.

He pledged to line the border with troops and build tent cities for migrants caught trying to cross.

The measures are designed to stop a caravan of Central American migrants, still hundreds of miles away from the US.
