Trial of two former soldiers accused of murdering IRA leader collapses

The prosecution in Belfast of two former paratroopers for the shooting in 1972 of Joe McCann has collapsed after the judge in the case excluded statements given by the two former soldiers.

The circumstances of the shooting of the 24-year-old man remain disputed, however, tonight, we hear from his family, who say the state has failed at all levels in relation to his death.
