Thousands of migrants reach Mexico border

Reports from Guatemala say a group of Central American migrants have torn down a border gate and are rushing towards a border bridge into Mexico.

President Trump, seizing on what he sees as a vote-winning issue as the mid-term elections approach, has threatened to shut off all access to the United States, using military force if necessary.  Mexico’s President is holding emergency talks with the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
