Rules to protect wildlife tilted in favour of developers, say campaigners

With just seven weeks until the critical COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, the government is yet to pass its flagship post-Brexit green legislation.

The long-awaited environment bill will tonight be challenged in the Lords as peers attempt to beef up protections for the natural world.
