May and Johnson at loggerheads over middle east religious tension

Is Saudi Arabia “playing proxy wars” by taking sides in religious conflicts in the Middle East?  That’s what the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said at a conference just a week ago in Italy.  Theresa May clearly doesn’t agree.  The Prime Minister publicly overruled Mr Johnson  – saying his remarks did not reflect the Government’s views about Saudi Arabia.  The row has blown up just a day after Theresa May met the Saudi King at a conference in Bahrain.
