Manchester Arena bomb failings

When the suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated his device at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena last May, 22 people were killed and more than 100 were injured. Today it’s been revealed that there was serious confusion among firefighters responding to the attack, which led to a two-hour delay in them reaching the venue. A report into the bombing also says there was a “catastrophic failure” of the public telephone helpline on the night.
