4mMan lawfully killed by police during motorway stop, inquest finds
An organised crime suspect was lawfully killed by police during an enforced stop on a motorway slip road in West Yorkshire at the start of 2017, an inquest has found.
West Yorkshire’s Chief Constable said the shooting of 28-year-old Yassar Yaqub was “necessary to keep the public safe in a dangerous situation”.
His family believe the killing was unlawful.
