Jamal Khashoggi: ‘hit squad’ linked to disappearance

The last-known CCTV images of Saudi dissident and journalist Jamal Khashoggi show him walking into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last week. But what happened to him after that remains a matter of international dispute. Claims that he was murdered have been dismissed by the Saudi authorities as “baseless”. Today the Turkish newspaper Sabah named 15 members of what it called a Saudi “assassination squad”, who all visited and left the consulate on the day Khashoggi disappeared.
