Grandfather of seven fears deportation after decades in the UK

“Every time I report to immigration I think I am going to be locked up somewhere. It’s a nightmare.” This is now life for 60 year old Anthony Bryan – who arrived here from Jamaica in 1965. Although he has 6 British sons and 7 British grandchildren – he now feels under constant threat of removal.
The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants says he’s one of many Commonwealth citizens who have fallen through the cracks as the rules have changed. Here’s our senior Home Affairs correspondent Simon Israel.
