It looks like Brown is having a better night of it

Gordon Brown is focusing on imminent danger, the Tory emergency budget, might just be getting better “cut through” than David Cameron talking about waste and National Insurance. Gordon Brown just said he wouldn’t go into coalition with the Tories because of their welfare policies which must’ve come as no surprise but was a jibe at Nick Clegg.

David Cameron said Gordon Brown was showing he was desperate, which could’ve been a cue for a ghastly cutaway shot but Gordon Brown shook his head without looking angry or demented.

Watching the ITV worm (occasionally) it looks like Gordon Brown is having a better night of it, though the others are having their moments.

David Dimbebly has now ripped up the rules and burnt them for good measure. He’s taken Gordon Brown personally to task over tax credits.

Nick Clegg saying can I just stop this political point scoring is in slight danger of sounding like Gordon Brown reading out the kids at bath-time line from the script when it doesn;t quite fit the moment. The name-checks with the audience are part of his natural civility but may strike some as a little trying.
