Boris Johnson urges public to ‘take advice seriously’ as government announces new measures

This is not a game. Stay at home – and stop spreading this disease.

That’s the message from some in the government – as this evening Boris Johnson warned “we will bring forward further measures” if people ignore social distancing advice.

Earlier the Mayor of London went further, suggesting that could even mean the police using emergency powers – stressing: ‘Life has changed. Don’t leave your home unless you really, really have to.”
