Allies want Gaza ceasefire but Israel will fight ‘until end’ says Netanyahu

The Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared the fighting in Gaza will continue “until the end” – despite growing calls among Israel’s closest allies for a ceasefire.

Israel has now opened a second border crossing to humanitarian convoys, after images showing desperate crowds in Rafah, surrounding aid trucks and pulling off supplies.
