A-level results day: grades drop post-pandemic

It’s A-Level and T-Level results day.

For students it means hearts in their mouths, their future in their hands.

There’s good news and there’s bad news.

The proportion of top A-level grades in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is higher than it was pre-pandemic, but it’s dropped since last year.

This is the first time since before Covid that grades have been based on public exams rather than individual teacher assessments.
