Thousands of job losses loom after the collapse of last minute efforts to rescue the high street retail chain Debenhams – now set to close all 124 stores around the country. This is just the latest gloomy news from a British retail sector hard hit by coronavirus restrictions.We spoke to Julie Abraham, the boss of the hi-fi and TV chain Richer Sounds, and to James Daunt, the CEO of Waterstones.
