Welsh government’s coronavirus test deal collapses

In Wales, the government has again expressed its disappointment over the apparent collapse of a deal to deliver extra coronavirus testing capacity.

In a press conference in Cardiff today, the health minister Vaughan Gething said “there was no getting away” from the fact the tests “would have made an earlier difference” in Wales.

But he refused to be drawn on why the deal had not gone.
