‘We need AI to be held accountable,’ says DeepMind co-founder Mustafa Suleyman

Artificial intelligence could bring chaos and conflict, and companies developing it need to accept regulation to control it – that’s according to one of the leading entrepreneurs who’s pioneered the technology.

Mustafa Suleyman says it could also transform our lives – if we use it properly.

And there’s huge money at stake.

The global AI market was valued at 142.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2023 – and that’s expected to mushroom.

Major companies are investing and integrating AI into their work, including some of the world’s biggest names – Google, BT, Uber, Deutsche Bank, Amazon, Meta and many more.

Governments across the world are discussing how AI will be managed as it becomes more prevalent in our everyday lives – from creating music to reading scans, from smartphones, cars and banking.
