War and words: Rockets fall in Kherson as Putin makes two-hour speech (DUBBED)

If what we’re witnessing is an irreversible break between Russia and the west, then Vladimir Putin’s message today was: ‘it’s not me, it’s you.’

Speaking for nearly two hours, the Russian president accused so-called Western elites of provoking the invasion he himself ordered almost exactly a year ago, taking aim at the Kyiv government.

But as he spoke in Moscow, his rockets fell on the citizens of Kherson, from where our International Editor Lindsey Hilsum sent this report.
