Vinicius Jr says ‘racism is normal’ in La Liga after suffering barrage of abuse

The Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has met the president of his club – after he was subjected to a barrage of abuse during yesterday’s match against Valencia.

The club has filed a hate crime complaint with Spanish prosecutors – while Valencia said it would impose lifetime bans on all fans involved in the incident.

In a statement posted on social media – Vinicius said racism was “normal in la Liga” – declaring the championship “today belongs to racists”.
