‘Upskirting’ law blocked by Tory MP

A law which would have made it a criminal offence to take ‘upskirting’ photos has been derailed after a single Conservative MP objected. Supporters of the move, which was backed by the government, shouted “shame” as Sir Christopher Chope made his objection, while campaigners said they were extremely upset and disappointed. The government says it is committed to making sure it becomes a criminal offence.
