Ukrainian ballet dancers protest against Putin’s war

Amid the war in Ukraine, statues and cultural monuments have been entombed in sandbags to ensure their survival against the missiles and bombs of war.

Many have been forced to flee their homes during the conflict with Russia. Among them, the displaced dancers of The United Ukrainian Ballet, who in an act of defiance against Putin’s war on culture have created some protest performance art in the UK. Minnie Stephenson went to meet them.
