UK tourists return home from Spain to face two weeks quarantine

The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says it was ‘absolutely necessary’ to reimpose quarantine rules on travel from Spain with such short notice – amid a surge in coronavirus cases in parts of the country.

The Spanish foreign minister has insisted it remains safe for tourists, with outbreaks ‘perfectly controlled’. But the sudden change in rules has caught up many British holiday makers – including two Government ministers.
