UK fuel crisis ‘stabilising’ says Boris Johnson

The petrol station situation is “stabilising”, Boris Johnson has insisted, telling motorists to behave normally and just fill up their cars when they really need it.

This was after yet more lengthy queues at forecourts around the country, and reports that all sorts of key workers, from critical NHS staff to volunteers who deliver blood products, have been unable to get to work.

So is the worst of the crisis now over?
