UK / France deal in ‘final stages’ over people crossing Channel in small boats

A deal between the UK and France to help reduce the number of people crossing the Channel in small boats is in its ‘final stages’, according to Downing Street.

Earlier today, Rishi Sunak met President Macron on the sidelines of COP27 in Egypt to discuss the issue.
