UK facing ‘crisis of in-work poverty’, says PCS Union boss

Teachers in England have put their strike action on hold – while unions hold talks with the government.

The National Education Union has created a period of calm for two weeks, during the discussions around pay, conditions and workload.

However more than a thousand passport office workers say they will be taking strike action – which could severely delay getting passports to holidaymakers in the run up to summer.
