UK and US impose new sanctions on Iran following attack on Israel

Well the British and American governments both unveiled new packages of sanctions against Iran today, as G7 foreign ministers met in person to agree further action.

They have publicly stressed, though, that they do not want to see a further escalation of hostilities in the region. That’s a sentiment shared by many Iranians themselves.
