Trump condemns ‘racism, bigotry and white supremacy’ after ‘evil’ shootings

He blamed the internet, video games, mental illness and hatred.

Everything, in fact, except guns.

President Trump called the weekend’s terrorist attack in Texas and mass shooting in Ohio crimes “against all humanity”, urging the nation to “condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy” with one voice.

But Mr Trump’s critics have accused him of “open racism” and white nationalism and for linking calls for tougher background checks for gun owners to immigration reform.
