Trapped on the breadline in rural Britain

It looks like a rural idyll with picture-perfect villages and dramatic coastlines. But hidden behind Dorset’s chocolate box façade, there are families trapped in poverty.

Further cuts to bus services are leaving many people increasingly isolated, unable to access cheaper food, healthcare services or even the jobcentre to set up their universal credit.

In the latest in our Breadline Britain series, we meet working families around the towns of Bridport and Beaminster who are struggling to get by.
