Trapped in hospital: Man with muscular dystrophy stuck on ward for 13 months

A 37-year-old man with a severe muscle wasting disease has been trapped in a hospital for more than 13 months because of a dispute over his care.

Ravi Mehta has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and used to receive NHS funding that allowed him to hire his own carers and to live at home.

Now that has been taken away from him and he is threatened with being put in a care home.
