Think tank Resolution Foundation warns 2022 will be ‘year of the squeeze’

This year has been a struggle for many people who’ve lost jobs and livelihoods to the pandemic – now a leading think tank is warning that 2022 will be “the year of the squeeze”.

The Resolution Foundation said families would end up spending an extra £1,200 a year on average, due to tax increases and the huge energy price rises which are expected in the spring.
