Living with dementia is often isolating – and for LGBT people there can be an extra layer of loneliness. For a community that grew up when homosexuality was still illegal, fear of prejudice can make it harder to access services and support groups. Now the UK’s first dementia cafe aimed specifically at gay, lesbian, bi and trans people has opened – as Matt Frei reports.
