Teenager jailed for murder of 14-year-old Jermaine Cools

A teenager who murdered 14 year old Jermaine Cools has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 19 years – after a landmark hearing at the Old Bailey – the first involving a youth defendant which has been televised.

Marques Walker, who’s 17, stabbed Jermaine with a machete during a fight outside a south London railway station in November 2021.
