Study finds a quarter of 14-year-old girls self-harm

Almost a quarter of 14-year-old girls across the UK are self-harming, according to research which has revealed the scale of the mental health crisis facing the country’s children.

The Good Childhood Report looks into the lives of thousands of children across the UK, and found they faced pressures from school, gender stereotypes and the social deprivation caused by austerity.
