Social distancing update pushed back by UK government

Health and Social Care Editor

Northern Ireland joined the other nations of the UK today in relaxing Covid restrictions.

Up to six people from two households can now meet inside a home, and indoor hospitality has resumed.

But in England, plans to publish details on social distancing and coronavirus certificates have been pushed back by the government as they wait to see more data on the so-called Indian variant.

The news came as more surge testing was announced, this time in Hampshire.
