Series 6, Episode 14: Megan Phelps-Roper

Megan Phelps-Roper is a former member of the Westboro Baptist Church, an extremist American religious cult based in Topeka, Kansas. She was made famous by appearing in a series of documentaries made by Louis Theroux on the church.

Megan left the church in 2012 and has since spoken and more recently written about her experience in her book: Unfollow: A Journey from Hatred to Hope, leaving the Westboro Baptist Church.

She talks to Krishnan about her fascinating story and why the whole world needs to be aware of the dangers of division.
