Senate Republicans block emergency bill providing aid to Israel and Ukraine

The United States has offered strong support to Israel – including funding. But that aid is in doubt after Senate Republicans blocked an emergency spending bill providing 110.5 billion dollars of security funding for Israel and Ukraine – because it didn’t include the immigration reforms they want.

Senate leaders have vowed to keep trying to reach an agreement – before Congress breaks next week.
