Scotland lifts most Covid restrictions

Scotland has lifted most of its Covid restrictions from today, allowing nightclubs to open and increasing the limit on crowds allowed at sporting events, although wearing face masks in places like shops and public transport remains compulsory.

Across the UK, latest figures show another slight fall in the number of daily cases, a further 25,000 new infections have been recorded, along with 37 deaths.
