Scotland faces more ‘unavoidable’ restrictions if Omicron cases rise, says health secretary

The Welsh government’s cabinet has met twice today to discuss whether to introduce tougher Covid restrictions as its most senior doctor advised people to prioritise who they see at Christmas.

Guidance in Scotland is to limit socialising to a maximum of three households before and after Christmas.

We spoke to Scotland’s health secretary Humza Yousaf and started by asking him who should the public listen to when socialising over the festive period.
