Russian bombardments devastate key Ukraine cities as frontline moves

As new face-to-face peace talks are due to begin this week in Turkey, there has been no let up in the fighting for the people across this country sheltering in basements and subway stations.

The mayor of Irpin, a town just north-west of Kyiv that has seen heavy fighting and intense Russian bombardment, said today that Ukrainian forces had seized back control of the area.
