‘Regardless of socioeconomic circumstances, Black pregnant women are facing racism in UK,’ says Labour MP

Higher rates of maternal mortality among Black women isn’t just an issue in the United States – here in the UK, Black women are up to four times more likely to die in pregnancy and childbirth than white women.

We spoke to the Labour MP and black maternal health advocate Bell Ribeiro-Addy and asked her why this is happening.
